Restore clear vision without waiting months on a waiting list

We remove the cataract and implant the lens best suited to your lifestyle. No waiting lists, with the lens you choose.

WARNING SIGNS

When does a cataract start to affect you?

Cataracts are painless, but they progressively reduce quality of life. Recognising the symptoms early allows you to plan the procedure at the right time.

NO CATARACTS YET?

Blurred or cloudy vision

Like looking through a fogged-up window, especially at distance.

Increased sensitivity to light

Headlights or sunlight cause uncomfortable glare.

Faded or yellowed colours

Whites lose intensity and colours appear less vivid.

Difficulty driving at night

Halos around lights make night driving increasingly difficult.

Frequent prescription changes

Your prescription keeps changing in a short time with no other apparent cause.

Reading is becoming harder

You need more light or have to hold text much closer to read comfortably.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What patients ask us most

Does cataract surgery hurt?

No. It is performed under topical anaesthesia (eye drops), with no needles or stitches. Most patients describe it as a very comfortable experience. The procedure takes between 15 and 20 minutes.

When will I recover my vision?

Most patients notice a significant improvement the day after surgery. Vision stabilises fully between 4 and 6 weeks after the procedure.

Which lens is best for me?

It depends on your ocular anatomy, prescription, macular health and lifestyle. At your consultation we will advise you with no obligation about which option best suits your needs.

Is it covered by my private health insurance?

Many insurers cover cataract surgery with a monofocal lens. Premium lenses (EDOF and trifocal) usually involve an additional contribution. We check with your insurer before the procedure.

Can I have surgery if I have diabetes or high blood pressure?

In most cases, yes. We review your full medical history at the pre-operative consultation to confirm that surgery is safe in your specific case.
